On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of oak, stinky feet, and earthiness. Flavour is harsh and unpleasant, with earthy notes, armpits, feet, and some harsh barrels. Floral, sweaty finish. Very poor.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear blonde with a tiny head. Aroma smells like a PB&J sandwich, with no hint of apples. Flavour is gently sweet, with light PB&J and semi-crisp apples. Fairly pleasant for what it is, but there's no complexity or refinement. Fine.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of pungent, artificial cantaloupe. Flavour reveals moderately sweet cantaloupe—drinks like pleasant cantaloupe soda. A mead? Fuck off.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear blonde, no head. Nose is like a lemon lime soda with a hint of ginger. Flavour follows suit, with more muted lime and earthy ginger—nary a hint of honey. Poor, useless.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear blonde with a tiny head. Aroma has a weird chemical, saline character that I wouldn't associate with blueberry - ugh. Flavour is gently sweet, with nothing resembling blueberries—no hint of honey either. Sweet soda water with a tinge of honey basically. Garbage.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a clear faded green (yep) with some salt / chili (?) floaties and a pink head. Aroma brings out cactus and fermented out dry honey. Flavour is sweet and herbal, with artificial herbal notes and semi-sweet fermented out honey. Artificial and just terrible.

On tap at Honest Abe, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out fermented out honey and light floral notes. Flavour is dry, with fermented out honey and dry floral notes. Musty and sweaty, with little complexity. Very poor.

On tap at Crooked City Cider House, pours a cloudy blonde, almost no head. Aroma is unusual for a mead, with lots of earthy notes, faded lychee, and a strange, slightly fermented out honey. Flavour is more like lychee juice than a mead, with lots of pulpy lychee, lots of sweetness, but no real honey character. Not much depth or complexity. Simple but pleasant enough.

(tap) hazy, pale yellow colour with suspended sediment, no head; aroma of peach and apple; balanced flavour with a long, light tart finish
