Dark brown color. Massive rye whiskey character, oak, with dark chocolate character In the nose. Not great body with baker chocolate, tons and tons of rye whiskey but fairly simple. The rye linger and lingers but not that great

3/XI/22 - 1Pt. can from a trade, shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: IX/1/22 #118 (2022-1441)
Clear gold blond beer, big creamy bit irregular off-white to yellowish head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: oranges, a bit oxidized, fruity, malty, grains, hay. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, lots of grains, biscuits, very bitter, slightly sourish. Aftertaste: malty, bitter, a bit resinous, dry, grassy, bit metallic, decent old school IPA.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is a bit floral, with estery notes and light rustic notes. Flavour is very estery — they haven't used the yeast well. It's somehow on the dry side, but the esters are too much. Not great.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings bready malt and a touch of dry toffee. Flavour is on the dry side and not really demonstrative of an English strong ale — there's bready malt and dry toffee. Not really English-tasting. It's pleasant enough.

On tap at The Good Society, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is somewhat resinous and sweet, with resinous hops, light sweetness and biscuity malt. Flavour is chaotic, with all sorts of perfumey hops, alcohol, and sweet sugars. This is messy and all over the place. Poor.

On tap at The Good Society, pours a deep dark mahogany / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma is subtle, with bready malt, toasted notes and earthy hops. Flavour is balanced decently enough, with earthy hops and toasted malt. Not great hop expression, nor maltiness. Toasty, earthy finish. Meh.

On tap at The Good Society, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is unpleasant, with light piney hops and traces of butter. Flavour is full of diacetyl galore, with tons of buttered popcorn and bitter pine. Not good at all. These guys need to learn how to brew.

On tap at The Good Society, pours an opaque bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, hop burn, and chalk. Flavour is chalky, with lots of hop burn, and some dankness. A bit messy but could be worse. Middling at best.

On tap at The Good Society, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is full of vegetal notes and some bready malt. Flavour is full of crunchy vegetal notes and bready malt. Crunchy and vegetal. This isn't pleasant.

On tap at The Good Society, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is clean enough, with mineraly notes, vegetal notes, and crisp crackery malt. Vegetal, herbal finish, but it's clean enough. Meh.
