Description

After two years of brewing several times a week as a hobby brewer owner Ricky Maertzendorff took in 2018 the step to become a commercial brewer. Dog Westie inspired the name of White Dog Brewery. The beers are brewed in bulk at another brewery.

Keg at Brewdog Doghouse Edinburgh. Pours murky yellow to orange with a thin white head. Aromas of tinned peach, orange, ripe melon. Taste is more of the same. Light bitter finish.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Globbingly viscous black. Buttery chocolate milkshake aroma. Extremely sweet with thick, viscous mouthfeel. Cloying like a chocolate milk shake. No sign of fermentation - just artificial and cloying. Please remind me never to spend a penny on White Dog ever.

(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 19 April 2025) Hazy pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, apricots and wild strawberries. Fruity, vinous taste with peaches, apricots, white bread, orange, strawberries and a mild herbal bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. Fruity, a bit boozy and slitghtly yeasty. Very nice.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, minimal head. Aroma of butterscotch and marshmallows. Ridiculously sweet with full body and sticky mouthfeel. Custard and artificial sweetener on butterscotch and boiled milk. Revolting and sticky. Pretty much undriinkable.

No head. Totally black.
Huge chocolate and vanilla aroma with a bit of coffey.
Mud pie taste with chocolate and vanilla.

Geprobeerd met LiekevdV en Roelzie op het Nederlands Speciaalbier Festival in den Bosch. Het is een troebel geel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van hop en wat hars en wat "dank". De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en hoppig.

Burk en spelkväll hos Joel! Doftar lite lätt syrligt o tropiska frukter. Ren i smaken med apelsin o mango. Fin o go i eftersmaken. Ritigt br o känner inte alkoholen över huvudtaget.
