On tap at Columbus House, pours black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma brings out a promising balance of roasted malt and earthy, piney hops. Flavour is balanced alright, with medium roast and earthy hops. The balance is decent, but I wish there was more oomph. Pleasant.

On tap at Columbus House, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lacto upfront, with subtle tartness and a sort of peach-like fruitiness. Flavour is lacto-y, with plenty of subtle tartness and plenty of yogurty lacto. There's a touch of fruitiness but this is mostly a function of the lacto, which isn't as monolithically yogurty as some lacto character. Nothing special but drinkable.

On tap at Columbus House, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out hearty oats and some toasted malt. Flavour is gently chocolatey, with oats and toasted malt. The sweetness is higher than average for the style, and the palate is lacking in heartiness. This one doesn't really hit the mark. It's not terrible, but doesn't deliver on what you'd look for in a hearty oatmeal stout.

On tap at Columbus House, pours a clear copper golden with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out earthy, piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bitter, with bitter pine cones, some earthiness and dry biscuity malt. Bitter in a harsh way, without balance or good hop expression. Leaves plenty to be desired.

On tap at Columbus House, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly sweet bready malt and a touch of straw. Flavour is dry, with bready malt and some toasted nuts. Not really a mrzen, as admitted by the bartender, but it's clean enough. Meh.
