355mL can at Charlone, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma reveals plenty of the barrel — wood, dubious quality bourbon — and moderate roast. Flavour has mild tartness that doesn't seem intended, with plenty of wood, dark dried fruits, and medium roast. Maybe it's just the dark dried fruits that impart the gentle tartness. The barrel isn't that dominant. Low sweetness for the style. Very strong but with some weird notes that I can't quite deal with upon more imbibing. Decent attempt, but needs upgrading to compete in the big leagues.

On tap at Charlone, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has a nice roasted malt base, with dry earthiness and a hint of dry cocoa. Flavour is surprisingly full-bodied for a sub-4%, with medium roast and dry earthiness. Finishes dry and roasty. Good stuff.

On tap at Charlone, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is somewhat metallic, with grassy hops, straw and earthy notes. Flavour is grassy, with herbal and grassy hops, straw, light metallic notes, and crisp crackery malt. Crisp and biting, even if a bit too metallic and herbal. Pleasant.

On tap at Charlone, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out skunky grassy hops, some metallic notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is rather skunky, almost suggesting traces of diacetyl; there's grassy hops and crisp biscuity malt, finishing rather metallic. This one needs work.
