Draft pour at Barrel and Stave, Vista. Clean and shiny golden pour. Thin, oily head. Intense hop oil bitter, but really less than I'd expect from a brew of this strength. We'll layered and put together. Excellent.

On tap at Barrel & Stave, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out plenty of almond and vanilla upfront, followed by a bit of coffee and gentle roast. Flavour has rich almond and dark sugars, with notes of chocolate, coffee and vanilla. A bit clumsy and haphazardly put together. It's tasty enough, but doesn't have the complexity. Decent.

On tap at Barrel & Stave, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Nose is sweet, with tropical fruits, orange and sugars. Flavour is tart, with sugary oranges and passionfruit, without much yeast base to back. This isn't good.

On tap at Barrel & Stave, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has lots of diesel, terps, and some harsh bittering hops — not getting the Nelson. Flavour is full of diesel and terps — this is harsh. The Nelson doesn't come through well at all. Not so good.

On tap at Barrel & Stave, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has piney hops, melon and a little car exhaust. Flavour has a nice tangy hop profile, with tropical melon and some pine. Bright, piney and melony. Good stuff.

Draft pour enjoyed at Rodeo X Brew Haven. Clean and clear, shiny golden pour. Master of disguise brew here, with tons of coffee flavor. Espresso nose. Easy drinking cream ale, with lingering coffee and barely a coffee note. Unique and fun brew.
