Description

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy dull golden with big fluffy white head. Grapefruit, poop, very strong garbage bag plastic bitter, soft funk, rotten hay. Medium sweet and quite bitter, light sour. Medium bodied with strong fizzy carbonation. Something went very wrong here. Horrible infection.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankenspeciaalzaak van Haastregt/Lamers', best before March 2019. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently fruity and slightly grassy aroma of lemon peel, pineapple, some grapefruit and a touch of caramel. Minimally sweet, gently bitter, fruity, a bit grassy taste of grapefruit, blood orange and a touch of plastic, followed by a short, medium bitter, gently grassy and quite dry finish with a touch of iron. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Maybe an IPA but not red at all, quite off as well, pretty unusual.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] shared with Inoven. Unclear, opaque, orange color, average to decent sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts and sweetish floral hops with light fruit hints. Taste malts, light floral hops. You know, this is ok to drink, but it's more like a hoppy Belgian ale (though not overly yeasty) instead of a (according to the label) "powerful American IPA with citrusaroma". I think it's drinkable but if they really intended what's on the label then they're far from their goal.

Hazy dark blond colour. Aroma and flavour have some boiled vegetables and light malts. Totally absent of bitterness despite being sold as a powerful American IPA.
