Big Hand Bros x Drip Drop Coffee Fluorite Specialty Coffee Ale 4.6% I was expecting something black but it is a copper colored brew with a big coffee aroma. The version I got was made with El Salvador coffee. It starts off classic coffee, then goes slightly malty before ending with tobacco leaf and coffee grounds. There’s a slight tang on this medium bodied brew but all in all it’s solid. For 650¥ this half was filled to the brim!

Tap at Termachi. Deep purple color, very hazy, looks like a smoothie. Nose is blueberry, creamy oats, citrus hops. Flavor medium sweet, light blueberry, creamy, lightly juicy. Somewhat mild and not too bad, not over the top as was expected.

Tap at Teramachi. Rather dirty brown color with lace. Nose is caramel malt, spicy hop, bread. Bready, toasty flavor, light caramel, bit of spicy hops. Slightly bitter finish. Almost flat, as though they are trying to mimic a hand pump, but it doesn't really work. OK but not really a finished product.

I’ve not had a best bitter in awhile… Bighand Bros Andalusite Best Bitter 4.2% 30 IBU Nice matte gold, totally still with no foam. Mild biscuity aroma, clean medium body with scratchy carbonation. The taste is biscuit and mild caramel toffee. This is really crisp and enjoyable but has me wishing it was I cask which would certainly elevate it into something truly special and authentic.

I decided to start off with a new release: Bighand Bros Bauxite Festbier 6% 20 ibu Matte deep gold with thick foam and a sweet grainy aroma. Sweet malts with a bit of a tang and bitter bite. Less malty than many festbiers, more in the modern golden vein. Solid.

Bighand Bros. Chiastolite Dark Mild 3.8% 22 ibu Deep ruddy cola brown with tan foam and a slightly smoky dark caramel malt aroma. Medium to light bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel. The taste is roasty, chocolatey and slightly smoky. Not as smooth as it would be on cask and with a slightly tangy element to it but pretty damn solid in my opinion. Good flavor for such a small ABV.

BigHand Bros. Cavansite Chai imperial stout 9% It poured a murky brown with thin soapy looking beige foam. Kind of looked like homebrew. The aroma was a decent chai/cardamom with a touch of sweetness. Light bodied and silky smooth. At first, I was pretty disappointed by it (Especially as the can was 1500¥) but it grew on me with roasty chocolatey stout notes joining the sweet and spicy chai flavors. Decent but I enjoyed the ones I had on draft more.

Tap at Teramachi. Clear golden with a lacy head. Malty nose, bread, biscuit, some herbal hops. Somewhat heavy. Not as well attenuated as I expect in a pils, but the lager character is evident. Bready malt, lemony hops. Quite fruity and bright. Not bad, though not a traditional German pils.

Tap at Teramachi. Black with orange tints and lace. Spicy chocolate nose, orange, lime. Seems to be spiced, like Chinese five spice, anise of something. quite sweet, rather simple malt profile. Ok.
