On tap at Supermoon, pours a clear amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has lots of rye, spruce tips, juniper, and bready malt. Flavour is dry and spicy, with lots of spruce tips, juniper berries, and lots of rye. Nice use of the unusual ingredients, much more refined than a Finnish sahti, honestly. Very solid.

It’s thrilling when a brand-new brewery nails a beer. Their 2nd release is killer, the first proper Sahti I’ve had (Kenosha Brewing doesn’t count). Tastes just as rural, earthy, and timeless as I’d want. Milwaukee is a force to be reckoned with.
