On tap at Catalyst, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of sprinkles, with burnt sugars and toasted malt. Flavour is dominated by burnt sugars and bullshit sprinkles. Too sweet and adjunct-laden, without the malt complexity to back. Not good.

On tap at Catalyst, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is very sweet, with intensely sweet sugars, chocolate, and brown sugar. Flavour is much the same, with lots of brown sugar, dark sugars, and chocolate. Very sugary, not enough malt complexity. It's alright.

On tap at Catalyst, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, burnt sugars, and toasted bready malt. Flavour has plenty of butterscotch, Belgian yeast, some wood, and caramel malt. A big butterscotch character that dominates. Solid enough.

On tap at Catalyst, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out big resinous hops, some pine, and just enough sweet biscuity malt. Flavour is dank, with lots of resinous hops, pine, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Big resinous oiliness, well-balanced. Excellent.

On tap at Catalyst, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is dank, with big piney hops, dankness, and a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is very bitter, with lots of bitter piney hops, moderate dankness, and a crisp biscuity may. Dank, piney, assertively bitter and dry. Very good.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a dark chocolate colored body that supports a thin loose dark tan head. The aroma offers up sweet vanilla and chocolate mingling with a thin maple sensation. The taste delivers smooth sweet dark chocolate rimmed thinly by sweet vanilla. To midway a tangy spicy maple, a bit of black strap molasses and ginger. Interesting.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a near clear mahogany colored body that supports a lasting dark tan head of foam. The aroma offers up an interesting mix of bitter smelling hops, black strap molasses, plums and dates. Cool. The taste delivers a tug of war between smooth sweet dark fruity esters and molasses working against bitter black strap molasses and some bitter hops wrapped thinly in pineapple like hoppiness. Really fun integrated rich sipper.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a crystal clear pure gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma is muted by the tumbler style glass but manages to offer up a blend of pineapple and pine hoppiness. The taste delivers a pleasing fairly crisp pulse of tangy pineapple and a bit of grapefruit hop bitterness leading to some modest bitter pine hops. This is working pretty well for one of the first brewed here.

Bottle pours with a nice deep dark body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up loads and loads of inviting chocolate with more subtle notes of dark roasted malts and a sense of a lactose twang. The taste is in-line with the nose. There's smooth fun yummy layers of dark chocolate blending effortlessly with dark roasted malts and a mild booziness and faint warming sensation. Yes. As the alcohol is noticed a modest spicy barrel character takes this to another level. I dig it. Great sipper.
