05-05-17 // swingtop bottle at home, bought at Bierboutique Ölwechsel. Deep black beer with a creamy beige head. Medium sweet body, roasted malts, grainy, light chocolate. Mild nutty finish with a subtle hop aroma. Good.

330ml bottle [#2154/2300]. Clear, chestnut colour with late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark sulphureous head. Mildly smoky, slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of smoked eel and ham. a touch of milk chocolate. Taste is slightly sweet caramel and dark malty, mildly smoky, a touch of toffee, caramel, woody smoky overtones, hoppy hints of peppermint in the finish; soft to flat carbonation. Relatively light, a bit floppy, rather cautiously smoky.
