17-08-17 // 330ml bottle. Hazy dark orange, small head. This is the first of Sanders Bockbeers I dont like. Flat and some metallic notes.

0.33 l bottle from ’BierPost.com’, 8.0% abv, best before November 2017. Clear, dark amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, malty and minimally grassy aroma of honey, grains, straw and some potatoes. Rather sweet, malty, a bit grassy taste of lots of honey and caramel, accompanied by straw, grains and hints of apricot jam, followed by a short, moderately bitter, sweetish and slightly grassy finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Very interesting, more like a Doppelbock than a Pils, but definitely with a Pils-ish touch. Unfortunately lacks some carbonation and fresher flavours but it’s enjoyable nevertheless.

Bottle shared with Beerhunter111, Koelschtrinker & Zlotta. Sour fresh beginning. Smooth malty, wood, hints of dry sour cherries. Round and refreshing. Moderate sour-bitter in the aftertaste, refreshing with a deep woody malty sour body. Nice!

Bottle 300/2350 - pours a clear golden beer. Small white head. Not a really dominating nose. Taste is medium sweet malty, mild herbal, hints of some fruits. Quite bitter finish. Smooth to drink.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle. Slightly hazy, dark brownish amber with an off-white layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly sourish and a little fruity aroma of caramel, red grapes, oak and hints of vinegar. Moderately sweet, slightly sour, a bit fruity taste of caramel, red grapes, oak and some vinegar, followed by a medium long, minimally bitter, slightly tart, woody-dry and a bit vinous finish. Medium body, minimally astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice, the high abv is not detectable at all.

Bottle shared with Zlotta and Koelschtrinker. Trübes orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch nach sauren Früchten, rote Früchte, Obst. Geschmack ist mild fruchtig, säuerlich malzig, hefig, leicht holzig, alkoholisch.
