This used to be one of Jeffs staples back in the old Red Star days. Was not my style then either sadly. +++ Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a black color with a large foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with floral hops and a bit of cocoa. The flavor was bitter, dry, roasty, woody and had a bit of floral hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not my style.

On tap at the bocktown. Name reminds me of the beer brewed by coastal. Brownish like root beer. Can’t smell any ill attributes. The taste has a little of that mild leather and slagg thing going on. Liked at first. However, it gets a little more astringent during the session. Decent amount of co2 for a 6 plusser. Yes, that slight astringent thing that I tasted in the fort pitt ale sets in there on the finish.

On tap at bocktown. Look, if you appreciate ipa, ignore my numbers, My taste buds are just girlie lager lovers. Terribly on styler fer sure. Yellow orangish brown. Smell is typical contemporary mild IPA BO. at first I thinks its a little fruity then the kick in the jaw comes forth. As session continues, it starts to really put its IPA foot down, right on the tongue. Yes, way too much fer me. Ruin my tongue for tasting anything fer a while.

Some cherry in the smell. On buds not as sweet as I was expecting, somewhat like cherry koolade without enough sugar. Decent co2. An above average fruit beer. Clear pale yellah. On tap at the bocktown.
