At bocktown listed as all saint’s sophie’s apricot wheat. From the start, looks like clear apricot juice, if in my mind I could imagine apricot juice. Never saw it before. Good mild perfumey smell of apricots, not overwhelming. Off the start I think its a typical beer fruitbeer but it comes on during the session. Yes, has that unsweetened fruit beer attitude that most fruit beers have but it is much more pleasant. Yes, not sweet but still gets your attention. Good sizzle due to bocktown’s fresh taps. Good overall beer expereicne, no real ill ale effects on this one.

Yes, looks like a brown ale and may I say throughout this is a decent brown ale. i was impressed by its manners. Has a hint of dark red in there. Very little aroma. First taste is surprizingly mild. Easy going fer sure. A unique background of, jsut a tad, fo weird roteen old leatrher, but mind you it is in a good way. Friendly and easy, very intruiging. In a time when so many brown s are trying to be and ipa this is fun freindly and welcomed.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a medium sized creamy beige head that lingered and left a bit of good lacing. The aroma was rough floral, herbal and piney hops and had an off note. The flavor was very bitter with piney, herbal and floral hops - a bit rough - with a resinous presence and undertones of caramel and almost buttered bread. Definitely something off and odd about this one but I could not put my finger on it. Long hoppy off finish. Medium body.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a pale yellow color with a small soapy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was tangy, bready and perfumey. The flavor was tangy lemon, orange, taffy, yeast and a hint of chardonnay. The finish was medium length tangy vague citrus. Medium body. Surprisingly refreshing for a beer this high in alcohol and the alcohol was reasonably well hidden.
