250ml can from Farmers Bar, Puchong, Malaysia. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a short-lived bubbly white head. The aroma is grainy malt, orange, pineapple and lots of alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet and alcoholic bitter, with a crisp, rich, light toffee, light creamy coconut, tropical citrus, big warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. This was all about the booze which totally dominated from beginning to end. As the beer warmed you could get some hints of the Sabro on the palate but it was faint in the extreme. This was not too dissimilar to the virtually undrinkable 15% Belgian Malt liquors that are so popular in Asia. Unrefined and rather disappointing.

440ml can from Farmers Bar, Puchong, Malaysia. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, piney, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a rich, piney, grassy, juicy citrus, light warm alcohol, big hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finally a DIPA where the alcohol is in the background.

440ml can from Farmers Bar, Puchong, Malaysia. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, a little funky wet dog and grapefruit. The flavour is moderate to light bitter and sweet, with a light, slightly watery, fresh, crisp, light toffee, light grapefruit palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Tasty, but a little too light and watery. I also expected some tart notes from the grapefruit that didn’t really materialise.

The flavour is moderate to light sour and sweet, with a fresh, light, crisp, juicy citrus, light sweet vanilla palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Went down very well.

250ml can from Strait and Narrow, at home. Slight hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are lemongrass, lychee and slight peachy fruit. Well balanced light sweet to bittersweet. Full slightly boozy body, but drinks well below 12%.

Tall can from Tramline. Slightly translucent copper amber pour with bubbly white head. Aroma is deep dank mango and pineapple with malty sweetness. Taste is bracing bitterness with tropical sweet - pineapple and citrus. Tingly bubbly dry finish. Interesting combo or brut and juicy haze. Sort of pulls it off. Quite good - would be even better if fresher of course. Definitely original.

The flavour is moderate to light sour, with a fresh, light, watery cucumber, mineral earthy, mint palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice and refreshing. The mint was way more dominant than I expected from the commercial description. I guess they were very big handfuls!
