Taster at Rock Bottom Colorado Springs. Pours black, with a medium, grey head. The nose is harsh coffee, walnuts, rye, and brown sugar. Sweet and malty, with a big, hard bitterness. Medium body, with a sharp, acidic, and clingy mouthfeel. This is certainly dry, roasty, and pretty tasty.

Sweet and malty, with a pleasant bitter finish. Medium body, with a sharp, lightly acidic, and crisp palate. This is a nicely balanced, assertive, and enjoyable IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. The nose is bitter chalky chocolate, roasted coffee, and chicory. Sweet, with a pretty aggressive, roasty bitterness that finishes nicely. Heavy body, chalky, syrupy, and sticky. Overall, this is a pretty good, malty, coffee forward stout. Pretty nice!
