22 oz waxed bottle poured, picked up at Steam Donkey. No way I'm passing on a pepper beer opportunity. Especially a special release, barrel aged brew. Nice heat packed in this one. Cola brown pour. There is a slight whiskey note here, but it would be easy to miss with the chipotle distraction that is present. Pretty smooth up front, then the heat adds all the fun. Really interesting brew here. A standout from their lineup for sure.

Draft pour at Steam Donkey, Aberdeen. Copper orange pour, active carb. No head. Really strange beer here. A lot like the saison, there is a ton of cabbage and boiled vegetables in the aroma and flavor. Stronger in this case. It basically covers up all the other qualities of the beer. This one was a miss for me.

Draft pour enjoyed at Steam Donkey, Aberdeen. A lighter pale yellow pour. A sweet lemon like hop nose. Straw and earthy malts, sweet melon hops. Melon and lemon grassy flavors add up nicely. A bit of a bite late. Refreshing pale overall.

Draft pour, enjoyed at Steam Donkey, Aberdeen. A bright golden orange pour, active soda fizz head. An Interesting Belgian here. Has a unique, distinct cherry flavor to it in the background. A soft yeast aroma. Cool floral character in the flavor, balanced with the rich malt and cherry. Good pale here.

Draft pour, enjoyed at Steam Donkey, Aberdeen. First visit! A semi cloudy golden orange pour. A lot of pepper spice to this said on. Earthy malts. Has a distinct cabbage taste. Boilded cabbage, and a pepper spice that's pretty nice. Not too bad, but not really my type of saison. Few small changes.
