Draft at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big bourbon notes, roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, mild hops. The taste is vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate, whiskey, wood. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight booze. Very nice.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark brown color with a very thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of peppery and earthy notes, tea, chocolate. The taste is strong tea notes, citrus, earth, chocolate. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel, toasted malts and some doughy notes. The taste is strong cinnamon, toasted malts, caramel. Thin bodied, and the fermentation temperature oddities didn’t do this one any favors.

Draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of lime, pale malts and floral notes. The taste is lime, cilantro, wheat, earth, snappy hops. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Liked this one.

Draft at Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, bitter dark chocolate. The taste is sweet and bitter chocolate, coffee. Very reminiscent of chocolate covered espresso beans. Medium bodied, fair amount of booze. Very nice beer.
