Ein 12-grädiges tschechisches Helles nach böhmischer Brauart. Dabei ist es mäßig herb und wunderbar süffig. Ein Klassiker nicht nur für Freunde von tschechischen Bieren.

Bottle calls itself PetrA VokA, 5.3% Slightly aged sample. Short-lived cream-yellowish head over hazy amber-brown beer. Chestnut flower, nutty, sweet, lightly coloured malts. Oxydation; faint, but fine bitterness, aromatic. Again somewhat nutty; dry dark bread. Spritzy despite little visual carbonation, faint gristslickness, rather light body. Rather nice polotmavý. Ďakujem, Peter a Michael!

Draught. Deeper golden colour with a creamy, white head. Sweet aroma with pale and caramel malts, grasses, bread, grains. A butter or honey-like note. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter - grassy and bread hops, a solid sweetness from the malts.. Not bitter enough for the style - but surprisingly "fat" for a 6 % abv.

Draught. Clear, golden colour with a cloudy, white head. Light hoppy aroma with floral and grass hops, wet hay, grains, pale and caramel malts. An earthy, mouldy note, which becomes more prominent as the beer warms up. Taste is light sweet.Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Finishes bitter and fruity with grassy hops. Good pilsener however, I do not find the earthy note that delicate.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 23.06.2010
Aroma has butter, some grainy malts and hints of nettles. Flavour is somewhat heavy and rather strong on butter, grainy malt, grassy hops and hints of nettles. Your typical Czech pils.

Looks like pale lager, has a somewhat sterile metallic aroma, perhaps a little like cleaning fluid perfumed with candy. Taste? Wew, this has got to be more than the 6% listed here. Quite rude for a pilsner, I would say this is more like strong lager. Much like the malt liqours youd find around here. Yes, like a strong cheap macro ice beer with more alky. I’m guessing 8%+ on the impact of this stuff. Big strong rude nastiness, now I think I feel a burning sensation on the sides of my tongue. One thing about it tho, it doesn’t create a gag reflex, at least for now. There is this alky candy thing hanging around the back of my throat,, reminds me of some kinda whisky flavored candy I had as a kid, heheh. You know, every time i try to evaluate the carbonation of this, my mind is sidetracked by the volatile effect on the taste buds. Finish is stripping, mind stirring alky. Quite an impression. There you have it; but in conclusion I’ll add a 0.1 to my score for the dizzying effect I’m getting at the end of the session from this 17 oz bottle.

500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a large head. Aroma is grassy with touches of rubber and Ribena. Taste is watery and bland. Nowt to start, grassy finish with a little Ribena on the finish. Expected more from a stronger lager.
