Light grainy nose, some honey too. Grainy honeyish taste, not too great, a bit hoppy near the end, bit stale and might be off, not being too special to begin with.... hmmm.... now I read sirPino’s rate and I wonder if the brewery decided to market a stunningly bad batch. I thought it might’ve gone bad at the store but this two bottles showing similar bad effect purchased at different places at roughly the same time.... probably didn’t. Will rerate it (gave it slightly higher notes while rating it in my book so it’s slightly overrated here) once but still shame on the brewery for putting such an obviously bad batch into circulation.5/2/4/2/10

(Bottle 0,5l) Clear golden color. Minimal white head. Light hops, sweet malty aroma. Light sweet, medium bitter. Bitter end. Medium-full body.

Nice golden color, Hoppy taste, with a touch of sweetness at the end. Quite enjoyable

Bottle 50cl. @ home.Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, butter notes, moderate hoppy, citrus, capers notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090721]

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The New Oxford, Manchester. Tap. thought I had tried it before, but glad i took some sips since I hadn’t ! Malty with grassy hops. Quite light for a pilsner but refreshing and enjoyable nevertheless .

RBESG08. Cloudy yellow, creamy tanned head. Light fruity nose. anonymous centerpiece. Light dusty aftertaste.

Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramel and fruit with a hint of chocolate. Sweet dark malt flavour with a slightly roasted finish.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The New Oxford, Manchester. Tap. Clear deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of bready malts, light grassy hops. Flavour is bready, malty, good crisp hoppy finish. Soft mouthfeel. Lovely lager.

Bottle, 6%. Malty flavour, quite bready. Clear yellow colour. Vinous and bready, does not taste fresh at all.

Bottle, The Cave. Brown colour, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, bready, smoky. Flavour of roasted malts, spices and some fruits. Bit watery, but well drinkable.
