Bottle bought in Trebon. Deep golden color, darker than usual for Czech pale lagers. Thinner head than usual. Strong aroma of malt. Slightly sweet, but with hops as well. Strongish taste, very good malt with a bit of sweetness, but decent hop bitterness as well. Buttery, with a slight taste of honey. The finish is more on the malt side, although dry, but not bitter. Medium carbonation and body, very good balance. I like this beer a lot. The best of the bottles we got in Southern Bohemia. Similar to a helles bock, but a little toned down in strength and sweetness, and with good hops.

Bottle from just outside the brewery in Trebon. A deep golden color moving towards brown. Decent head, but not too full. Fruity aroma, and you can sense the hops. There is almost a dry bubblegum aroma under there as well, or maybe melon. It’s a unique aroma and I can’t put my finger right on it. Medium malt flavor, with a lot of fruit, some grass and just a touch of sweetness. Very good hops that more than balance it well, but do not overpower. Medium body, but a bit fuller than the usual for this type. Lingering sweetness mixed with strong hop bitterness and again a touch of fruit and grassiness in the finish. This is a very interesting beer. If anything, it could use a touch more malt, but it is very good indeed.

Bottle, bought outside the brewery in Trebon. Dark brown, almost black color. Decent but fast-fading head, slightly tan colored. Rather sweet, malty aroma, slightly roasted. Caramel. Pretty good burnt flavor, some hop bitterness, but not much, also not much sweetness, or at least it is covered by the roasted flavor. The flavor is dominated by the burnt malt, but it is medium-dry over all. Finish is very burnt and malty, with coffee and caramel. It is quite long-lasting for this type. The burnt taste remains. Dry and perfectly balanced. Medium or slightly lighter body, medium carbonation. Not terribly complex, but very good.

Bottled 500ml. -Reddish/brown coloured, small to medium cappuccino head that went away fast, malty caramellish nose. Slight roasted malt, milk chocolate and caramel with sugary notes. Pleasant hoppy bitter finish. Nice Tmave, just a bit too sweet.

Bottle @ Supermarket, Prague. Pours clear golden with a egg white head on top. Sweet toffee, a bit of dust and then a herbal, quite rough, herbalness, reminding me of a "Dortmunder". Medium to thin palate. Dry end

(Bottle 0,5l) (11/20/2009) Malty and a bit weird aroma. Clear golden color. Minimal white head. Unpleasant fizzy. Light bitter-sweet. Light bitter end. A bit disappointment, I remember it was better beer. (Maybe really bad batch... I will try it later, hope it will be better.) (3.2.5.3..9=2.2)
(Bottle 0,5l) (05/06/2013) Light musty aroma. Clear golden color. Quickly done white head. Light sweet, light bitter. Dry, bitter finish. Significantly better, but still nothing special. (5.2.5.3..11=2.6)

29/10 0.5 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured darker golden body with tiny head. Weak malty aroma. Flavor is similarly watery, sweetish malty, somewhat eggy but with some herbal hop bitterness coming on later. Thin bodied, as I mentioned, with shorter finish showing those hops even better. Simple, thin and boring, but about average pale lager all in all.
