Bottle, 0.5l. 6% ABV. Deep ruby pour, almost black. One finger soapy beige head, short to medium retention. Minimal lacing. Faint nose, some caramel notes, slight coffee. Quite subdued. Thin body, medium to high carbonation. Light texture, quite watery. Moderately bitter taste, a bit harsh and unbalanced. Aroma also quite held back and watered down. Slightly roasty, some caramel and coffee notes. Herbal. Hm. Hop bitterness in the aftertaste pretty much dominated everything else. Unbalanced. Drying mouthfeel, a bit peppery. Overall, mediocre. Expected something a bit better after they pulled off black IPA so nicely... Oh well.

On tap at Pivoteka. Murky dark brown body with a beige, thick head. Enormous citric aroma, mild pine, dry maltiness in the background. Citric-herbal piney taste, soft maltiness, vague dark chocolate, slightly rough herbal-roasty,bitter finish, but it evens out later on. Gets tastier and tastier. Not a world beater, perhaps, but an excellent go at the style. Žina made a Black IPA as good as his homebrew attempts. Enough said.

Bottle, 0.5l. Hazy yellow pour with two finger soapy white head. Medium retention, minimal lacing. Refreshingly hoppy nose, good herbal character, pleasant notes of elderflower and pine. Thin to medium body, regular carbonation. Slightly thin texture, pleasantly fizzy palate. Moderately bitter taste. Pretty nice for the low IBU, good hop character, well balanced. Aroma of citrus, elderflower and pine. Good malty backbone with subtle caramel notes. Herbal and somewhat peppery. Grassy. Drying mouthfeel. Long lasting finish, bitter, dry and peppery. Overall, tasty and refreshing. One to go back to from time to time.
