On tap (Hrom do police, Praha): Pale golden, hazy, quite firm creamy head; delicate cellary touch in the sweet-malty, yeasty and hoppy nose; stronger spicy, bitter flavour, light bodied, light malty base, soft MF; lingering bitter-sweet-malty finish. A pleasant, spicy Bohemian Pils ! P.S. This is the unfiltered version of the 11° Policka beer.

On tap (@ Restaurace "Hrom do police", Prague) The unfiltered version of the 12° Policka beer has a medium-sized creamy head and is slightly hazy. A cellary, yeasty (almost "wooden") nose covers a bit the malt and the hops; flavour is bitter-malty with a soft MF; finished by a robust bitter and a bit tart aftertaste. A rare, quite well rounded beer.......

Bottle (Pivni Galerie, Praha): Deep golden coloured, medium-sized, quite quickly diminishing white head; sweet-fruity-malty nose with a distinctive bitterness; strong bitter flavour above a solid malty body, soft MF, astonishingly full bodied for a beer of 4.2%; sweet-malty finish with a strong bitter taste, becoming drier in the aftertaste. Extremely well done, archetypical, hearty, tasty Bohemian Pilsener, českemu pivu zdar !

Golden coloured with a fluffy head. Buttery aroma with notes of hops an a little bit of boiled peas. A well balanced Pilsener with crisp hop bitterness. Goes down very easy.

Pale golden colour. Frothy head. Brief hoppy aroma. Thin flavour of salty liquorice and a little bit of hops. Bitter finish. Tastes like a mainstream German Pils.

From the tap (at the Hotel Pivovar/Brewery Hotel in Policka): dark brown colour, lasting medium off-white head; shy, clean malty nose, not very comlex; light bodied, but not thin or watery at all, the malts dominate, quite well rounded for a beer of this lower gravity (10° Plato), slightly bitter aftertaste; not unpleasant !

From tap at the brewery hotel: golden colour, long lasting huge off-white head, shy malty nose with a tinge of bitterness from behind, medium bodied, soft malty taste, only short lasting bitter-malty aftertaste, well rounded, well quaffable. This lager is a typical example of the moravian style: more malts, less hops...........O.K.l
