Dec. ’16. On tap at the brewpub, 4.5% ABV, smoked ale. It poured almost a clear brownish body with medium to big head. Mild smoked aroma with a touch of biscuit and fruit. Flavor was lightly smoked, if I have to pick, I’d say lightly sweet, with peat, prosciutto, biscuit, brown sugar and very light herbal hops. Thin to medium body with shorter finish. A pleasant, well made, but very light smoked.

Dec. ’16. On tap at the brewpub, at 6.5% ABV. It displayed a hazy ocher to amber, brown hued body with a big and persistent head, which was lightly off white itself. Longest appearance description ever. Fine citrus aroma with some nice coconut and juicy fruits. Flavor was lightly bitter, herbal and spicy, within sweetish malt notes of caramel, biscuit and fruit juice. Medium bodied with moderately long, more sweet than dry finish. Pleasant. Not an IPA to its contemporary meaning, rather a regular, lightly hoppy pale ale, albeit a good one!

Dec. ’16. On tap at the brewpub. It poured a lightly hazy golden body with a big head. Herbal hop aroma, lightly peppery and earthy, obvious Saaz. Flavor was lightly to moderately bitter, dry herbal, peppery and very pleasantly rounded with bread and biscuit malt. Malt made it feel quite full bodied for a pils. Finish was quite long, herbal and biscuit malty, ending very dry. A decent, pleasant and refreshing brewpub pils.

On tap at Birstro, Rome. 7.5% banana & fudge in the nose on a dark Amber brown body. Light bodied & smooth but somewhat watery. It has a light weizenbock type flavor, fruity, malty banana.
