Can pours clear reddish orange brown 231. Very little head, just some pond skum. Quite sweet on the nose, with an addition feel of ropey leather character on the olfactory. Very malty taste on the uptake, some sweetness breaking thru. Easy manners yet the sweetness gets on my nerves a bit. Just maybe some earthiness comes thru in the middle. Some odd leather and perhaps a touch of peat mixing with the sweetened malt. Sweetness at the end of every gulp. Not enough to be cloying, but certainly more than is needed. Hides its 6% very well.

Can, looks like rootbeer as well as a rootbeer foamy head. Nose is somewhat boozy, heavy spices. First taste is a clinging treacly spiced nutmeg bomb. Maybe I'm getting other spices in there but this is certainly yer typical domestic heavy duty holiday spiced beer blaster. Very difficult to enjoy such an in yer face brew. Come now, shouldn't I be able to sense or taste some aspect of beer in this? Very soft carbonation, needs more to help me not think about this blitz to the senses. On the finish I'm getting this warming sensation down the throat into the gullet. Oh schnitz, what was I expecting? Anyway, its a cheap ticking can and I'm not surprized about what I got.

Pour is a dark brown with some red highlights. Aroma is some ok tasted bread notes. Flavor is sweet caramel with some dark fruit. Americanized version of a marzen with a heavy malt bill with a bit of bitter hops on the back end.

Aromas are dark malt and roast with hints of molasses and banana. Flavors are not quite as good as nose. A little bit simmer but add in some sour. Don't know if it's going bad or just poor brewing skill. Date stamp is unreadable. Just barely drinkable I hope.

Arrows are somewhat similar to traditional Bavarian hefeweizens but not quite as good. Some of the aromas but muted and not quite as aromatic or fresh. Flavors are similar to nose and in the same vein - this is a little more citric tart and bitter without the fruity more sweet than bitter traditional
brew. A few swallows in actually seems expired.

From a 2$ can this pours a fantastic looking dark cola colored brew with a really nice big choco moose foaming head. Nose is mild chocolate malt. First taste is pretty good too! Very mild dark beer attitude with just a tad of tartness. Some burnt damp wood flavors coming thru in the middle, but never in yer fave. Well balanced. I'm liking this. I really like dunkel beers and this one lives up to my expectations, even tho they say its an ale. I probably should have picked up a sixer of this. I see its referring to a kolsch ale in the description but I don't get any negative bitter kolsch character. Decent co2 throughout. Very nice dark dunkel beer finish. Not bad! A fun dark beer for a change. The first beer I had from the brewer, good job Schnetzle.
