500 ml swingtop from West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago. Pours very hazy amber with a foamy off-white head. Aromas of light to medium fruit (stone not citrus) over mild roast caramel. Med body. It is quite fruity - even has a touch of concord grape - but it guickly moves to a little raisin. It’s a bit earthy/musty, and ends up rather dry and astringent - somewhat bitter finish. Very nice.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Hazy, deep golden colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty, slightly yeasty and fruity with a touch of caramel. Pleasantly hoppy throughout.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, 20110815) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had molasses, chocolate and mildly roasted malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were molasses, mildly roasted malts, caramell, chocolate, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had roasted malts and bitterness. Very tasty and not too sweet dark lager.

Fruchtiger und hefiger Antrunk, süffig. Im Mittelteil süßer werdend, mit der Zeit auch etwas herber. Das Bier ist eindeutig auf Süffigkeit ausgelegt, herrlich spritzig, dafür ist das Bier aromenmäßig eher zurückhaltend, schlägt sich aber auch hier wacker und kann zumindest als Sommerbier punkten. Leichtes und spritziges Weissbier! 10/11/11/11/8/11

Angenehm hopfiger Antrunk, in dem auch die Herbe einen großen Anteil hat. Der Hopfen überwiegt aber auch weiterhin und beglückt mit seinen natürlichen blumigen, etwas trockenen Noten. Ab nun wird das Bier herber und bitterer, gleichzeitig sehr trocken. Im Abgang wenig zitrusartig, trocken herb, fast schon etwas staubig. Insgesamt ein solides Pils. 8/12/9/8/10

Leicht hopfiger Antrunk, der das trocken röstige und durchaus aromatische Malz beeinflusst. Das einzige Aroma, das sich hier aber noch Gehör verschaffen kann ist die karamellige Süße. Störend ist dies nicht, vielmehr unterstrecht es den süffig Charackter. Zum Ende wenig bitter, röstiger. Durch die im Abgang passend gesetzte Süße wirtkt das Bier noch einmal würziger. Ein grundsolides Bier, das die Ansprüche an ein dunkles Bier vollkommen erfüllt. 10/11/11/12/12/11

Hellmalzig würziger Antrunk mit erkennbarer Alkoholnote, die hopfig-bitter aber nicht störend ist. So liegt der Hopfen im Mittelteil vorne, nicht aber ohne die angenehmen Gewürznoten aufzuweisen. Anschließend wird die Bitterkeit stärker, es entsteht ein sehr hopfiges Bier, dessen Bockaromen dem Hopfen meistens unterliegen. Leider zwischenzeitlich muffig. Ein gelungenes Getränk für Hopfenliebhaber. 13/9/9/9/5/9
