(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized light-beige foamy head. Sweet, dark and roasted malt aroma, almost Bock-like with caramel and liquorice, accompanied by very subtle notes of dried fruits. Bitter-sweet flavour with slightly doughy edges, medium to light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Robust roast-malty taste, fairly complex with caramel, liquorice and hints of chocolate; moderately dry and bitter finish, derived from roasted malt and bitter hops. Pleasant, not too sweet and almost complex Dunkel with Märzen strength.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized, persistent foamy white head. Slightly sweet and grainy malt aroma with a touch of herbal hops in the background. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate, almost crispy carbonation. Strawy malty base with rounded herbal notes; dryish, bitter and slightly sweet finish with light to moderate herbal hops. Clean and pretty drinkable Helles.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet and slightly buttery malty nose with soft herbal and slightly floral hoppy notes. Sweet and moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malty, slightly biscuity and chalky taste with a subtle fruity touch; relatively dry and slightly bitter finish with a balancing malty sweetness in the aftertaste.

(bottle, bought at the brewery) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a big and persistent foamy white head. Light-sweet, citrus-fruity and herbal hoppy aroma with a slightly grainy malty background. Light-bitter flavour with a sweetish edges, light to medium bodied, crispy carbonation. Slightly grainy and fruity taste on a light malty base with soft herbal notes; almost dry, slightly bitter and also a bit short finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a big white head. Sweet malty wheat aroma with hints of bananas. Sweet malty spicy banana flavor with some hints of clove. Sweet malty finish with some citrus hints in the aftertaste.

Draught @ Akkurat, Stockholm. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting white head. Sweet malty nutty caramel aroma with some greassy hints. Sweet malty and nutty caramel flavor. Has a malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 21 June 2007) Golden colour with firm, white head. Malty, clean, fresh nose with grassy hops. Malty, clean taste with hints of pineapple, dry finish with fresh notes of grassy hops. Dry and rather bitter. Fresh and solid German pilsener.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Yellow colour, cloudy, with firm white head. Fruity nose with a citrussy wheat character, notes of banana, clove, vanilla and wheat-flour dough. Fruity taste with wheat-flour, banana, clove and lemon. Slightly sweetish, but not overly sweet, rather strained. Light body, refreshing. An alright hefeweizen.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy straw coulour, creamy head. Citric banana aroma. Sweet with surprisingly full body. Cottony malt fills my mouth. Light clove and banana esters mix with spun sugar, but wheat malt still doiminates. The malt character is masterful, but I’d like to see some more esters.

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear golden, small head. Heavily buttery grass aroma. Restrained malt sweetness. Very soft with medium body, lightly oily. Dry, grassy hops dominate the finish. As a pils it should probably be crisper, but this superb, soft malt character gives it a life of it’s own.
