Bottle, bought at the brewery, just named "dunkel". ABV is the same. malt and milk chocolate in the aroma. Thinnish but flavorful. Malt, cake dough, roasted malt, milk chocolate. More body and this dunkel would be world class. Now it is just a good beer.

Brewery tap. Hoppy, flowery aroma and flavor, flowing into a long malty, hoppy and flowery aftertaste. Went well with the excellent food. Bottle, at home: Grassy aroma. Malty, slightly hoppy, grassy flavor with a hint of boiled milk. Soft hopbitter aftertaste. Decent typical Bavarian pilsener.

Fläschla: Pale golden, hazy, small but stable white foamy layer, vegetables, traces of lemony hops and grains in the mild sweetish-bitter nose; mild as well sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied and at least soft; shorter sweetish-grainy and fruity finish with delicate herbal bitterness in the aftertaste. Yuk! So many promises on the label...

Tap at the Franconian Beerfest 2019. Lightly hazy, just a bit more than the Helles. Too warm. A bit of estery peaches, apples. A bit heavy, made worse by the warmness. Apples. Lightly oxidized.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is fruity yeasts, pale malts, cereals. Taste is fruity yeast, cereals, pale malts. Oily mouthfeel with high carbonation. Nothing wrong with this one, nothing too particular about it either.

Tap at Fränkisches Bierfest. Amber, fine carbonation, chewy, mellow, juicy malt, restrained on the hop side, still pleasant natural grassy finish, uncomplicated and moreish.
