Bottle from the meadery and shared w/ hershiser2 @ Mika at our 4/28 tasting. Clear purple, strong legs. Aroma of blueberry, grape, honey, vanilla. Taste is vanilla, honey, blueberry, grape, raisin. Full bodied, moderate booze. Nice.

Corked 375 mL bottle from the meadery, 3/24/22. Dark purple, almost opaque. Moderate legs. Aroma of jammy fruits… currant, blackberry, honey. Taste is honey, citrus, berries. Currant, blackberry in particular. Full bodied, booze well hidden. Just a bit too fruit forward, but a nice mead.

375 mL bottle from the meadery, 3/20/22. Dark red, hazy. Really does look like blood. Faint hint of a head. Aroma of dark cherry, honey, vanilla, dark fruits. Deep fruitiness is nice. Borders on medicinal not as nice. Taste is sweet cherry, tart cherry, honey, vanilla. Very faint hint of smoke. Bright and juicy. Cherry dominates a bit, but a good mead. Booze well hidden.

Corked 375 mL bottle from the meadery. First from these guys. They seem to be a Facebook based entity based near downtown Kaukauna. Pickup was on Dodge St near downtown, forget the actual address. Order head, pick up in a Saturday or two. Clear hazy orange, pretty strong legs. Aroma of lemon, honey, glue, booze. Taste is lemon, honey, vanilla, oak, apricot. Full bodied, slick, medium heat. A bit rough around the edges, but a good first impression.
