A young brewery out of Digbeth, Birmingham, Dig Brew Co have quickly established themselves as ones to watch, not just in Birmingham but the UK and beyond. The micro-brewery is the brainchild of Mad O'Rourke's owner Peter Towler and cocktail expert Oliver Webb.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, zesty tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a slightly light, smooth, super fresh, piney juicy citrus, light tart, light earthy coconut, light floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Awesome!

The flavour is liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a roasty, smokey, super dry, sweet lactose palate and hints of caramel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a milky golden straw colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is huge pineapple, light guava. The flavour is moderate sweet, light sour, with a smooth, rich, milky, coconut, light lactose, light vanilla, juicy citrus fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really gorgeous, but I can’t help thinking this is more fruit than beer.

The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a dry, roasty, crisp, nutty, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nicely balanced. One of the better Midlands Milds.
