A young brewery out of Digbeth, Birmingham, Dig Brew Co have quickly established themselves as ones to watch, not just in Birmingham but the UK and beyond. The micro-brewery is the brainchild of Mad O'Rourke's owner Peter Towler and cocktail expert Oliver Webb.

Keg at Wolf, Bingoham, 07/12/19. Hazed golden orange with an off white head. Nose is sweet malts, orange pith, grass, melon. Taste comprises tangerines, grassy, bitter citric shreds, orange peel, toasted malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced lightly juicy hop bitterness. Not bad.

ABV: 6.5%. Clear medium brown colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, malty, dark malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20191010]

[33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy straw coloured pour with a loose white head; tropical fruit aroma; tropical fruit taste with a creamy body and some yeast; then a fresh citrusy finish. Rather good.

Creamy tan head left a collar on a jet black still body & lots of lacing. Malt, coal & tar aroma. Medium bodied, sharp to the fire with a creamy back. Dark berry, malt, lactose, dark chocolate & demerara tastes with peachy back.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a billowing coffee coloured head; aroma of chocolate syrup; very sweet in the mouth with some earthy malts and milk chocolate; and a background bitterness of well roasted grains. Too sweet for me.
