A young brewery out of Digbeth, Birmingham, Dig Brew Co have quickly established themselves as ones to watch, not just in Birmingham but the UK and beyond. The micro-brewery is the brainchild of Mad O'Rourke's owner Peter Towler and cocktail expert Oliver Webb.

Cask at the steam head. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a a sticky white head. Aroma is grassy, hedgerow hop straw, liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, liquorice, green hop, hedgerow, Palate is si sweet moderate carbonation, grassy.

Cask at the Head of Steam, Bingoham, pre CCIV 23/06/18. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is bready, straw, light citric zest, grains, grass. Taste comprises melon, toasted grains, light breads, citric tinged straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Passable golde.

Cask at the Head of Steam - Birmingham. Pours clear gold with a tight, creamy white head. Pretty basic doughy gold, some hay, white bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more doughy pale malts, straw. So so.

Tap at the Head of Steam, Birmingham. Poured a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light grassy citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth, fresh malt, fruit hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

25/5/2018. Cask at the 2018 Newark Beer & Cider Festival. Pours hazy dull gold with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, hops, malt, flowers and grass. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Dry fruity finish.
