Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A dense, off-white head of finger-thick size sits on top of a hazy orange-golden body. There’s too much bready grains in the aroma, subdueing the banana. Some cloves as well. The flavor too is on the bready side and leaves the banana playing second violin. Thin to medium body and a pleasant carbonation. Everything is as expected for a beer like this, that doesn’t mean I adore it. 110320

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, dark amber beer with a small, off-white head. Quite alcoholic on the nose, with caramel, canned tropical fruits and some hoppyness. The flavor is a bit alcoholic too, it’s warming on the palate, full-bodied and sweetish. Some cooked vegetables too. Lasting finish with alcohol, sweetness and tropical fruits. A decent beer indeed, but too warming considering its ABV.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. An unclear, golden-orange beer with a finger-thick white head. Not much aroma here, some puke like notes in the far back and a touch of pale malts, banana and cloves too. The flavor isn’t much better, it’s not disgusting, but I definitely won’t drink it again. Not many breweries seem to master the art of a light weizen, Engelbräu Rettenberg doesn’t either. 110319
