(bottle) Almost clear, golden colour with a blond and stable foamy head. Sweet and grainy pale malty aroma with notes of draff and shy herbal hops. Sweet and mildly bitter flavour, almost medium bodied, soft on carbon. Pale malty taste with notes of biscuits and light herbal accents; medium-dry sweet malty finish with a light bitter and herbal hoppy touch. Better than the Engelbräu Helles. 24.XI.09

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Sweet grainy malty aroma with a tinge of citrus, biscuits and diacetyl. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather soft carbonation. Pale malty, slightly grainy taste with delicate herbal hops; moderately dry, malty and slightly hoppy finish. bottle, kindly delivered by pivnizub! Now this is strange. I used to live a mere 56km from the brewery but never managed to go there. Now I’ve received a lot of their beers from pivnizub, who lives 640km from Rettenberg... Thanks a lot! Clear yellow colour with a large white head. Malty nose. Malty with herbal accents and a pleasantly hoppy finish. Quite nice, not boring.

Clear golden with a tiny white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and mild hops. Sweet flavour with malty, caramel and grassy hops that gave it a bitter finish.
