Die Engelbräu wird vom heutigen Besitzer, Felix Widenmayer bereits in der vierten Generation der Familie Widenmayer mit Erfolg geführt. Persönliches Engagement und das solide Handwerk prägen unseren Stil. Denn es gibt Werte die haben immer Bestand: Qualität und Tradition.

Bottle, 5.5%. Citric aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour is nicely caramelly, mildly so, but clean. Has a little salty note in the finish, isotonic or whatever.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to light brown with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty. Light fruity and caramelish malty flavoured. Sweet caramelish finish. Light roasted finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild grassy and slight citric. Vague butterish malty note. Bitter and slight grassy flavoured finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild estery and banana fruity. Sweet flavoured, rather estery and phenolic. Lingering sweet wheat malty and slight citric finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish. Roasted malt flavoured with light caramelish touch. Lingering roasted malt flavoured. Lasting malty impression.

Bottle, 5.5%. Slow gusher. Hazy copper colour. Small stable white head. Good malty start, turning a little rough, but still OK. Slightly sweet with a faint rough hoppiness. Good mouthfeel.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and light malty. Sweet malty flavoured with a good crisp and rather dry hoppy finish. Lasting bitter impression.

Bottle, 4.9%. Clear pale yellow colour. Nice stable white head. OK malty note at first, turning a little papery like many other pale Germans. Low bitterness and a faint hint of malt in the finish.

Bottle, 5.2%. Mild chalky aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sourish at first, turning malty and OK dusty. Not past BB date, and not horribly sour, but a little strange, though.
