330ml bottle. Clear dark copper-ish amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, barely white head. Strawy aroma, straw that has already served its purpose as bedding in a hutch. Taste is slightly caramel malty, slightly bready, minimally husky. A lousy try to scrounge some Bamberg reputation.

Ordentliches Kellerbier, deutlich besser als der Durchschnitt, auch wenn mir das Besondere dabei fehlt. Extrapunkt für den ersten Schritt abseits ausgetretener Pfade.

Zwyczajowe piwo ze spora pianka, kolorem bursztynowym i pachnace karmelem. W snaku to toffi i karmelowa slodycz. Chmielu niewiele wyczulem. Metnosci nie bylo. Oszczedna lakierowana buteleczka typu baczek. W Bambergu robia o wiele lepsze piwa niz to.

Kupferfarbenes Bier mit ordentlcher weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, fruchtig, leicht würzig. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, leicht metallisch, Karamell, süß.

Fancy clear bottle. Pours a nice copper with offwhite cream and fine carbonation. Grainy and oxidized/papery nose, not lightstruck surprisingly enough. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Caramel, grain base. Grassy, herbal hops. Light minerals and spice. Quick finish, light butterscotch aftertaste. Not that interesting IMO.

Bottle(rumours say brewed in Hallerndorf…):Deep golden to light amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head that slowly diminishes, mainly malty and caramelly nose, interrupted by hayish-grassy hops; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; quite thin bitter-malty finish with a delicate metallic tinge. Pretty horrible by franconian standards…

(bottle, 33cl, as St. Erhard Bamberg, without the additive “Kellerbier”) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet caramel aroma with notes of marzipan and grassy hops. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp mf. Cara-malt upfront with hints of toffee, subtle fruity notes and a tinge of grassy hops; sweet and delicately bitter caramelly and slightly grassy hoppy finish. Lacks the real Bamberg spirit. Less-than-mediocre contract beer, unfortunately filled in clear glass bottles. 05.X.13

Bottle looks strange. Beer in the glass not too zippy, head okay. Beer starts mild, dry-malty, quite metallically. Mild sourish notes in the background. Finish metallically and soapy. Not very drinkable. Not my favourite.

Bottled, 0.33l. Clear amber color with small quickly dissipating tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of grassy hops, caramel malt, fresh and dry fruits. Taste starts rich malty with moderate sweetness. Following is fresh with taste of hay, mouthfeel is quite spicy, while aftertaste is moderate bitter, although well hiden behind rich and spicy maltiness. Medium to full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Bottle minimalism vs. rich and pleasant taste...
