Draught at Annafest, Forchheim. Amber colour, small head. Fruity and caramelly with solid chewy malt. Dryish dense sweet malt. Bold and grainy with light resiny bitterness. Solid, but not the smoothest of festbiers.

Bottle. A hazy orange-golden beer with good carbonation and a lasting white head. Some butterscotch in the aroma, which is quite weak, and also has citrus, banana, cloves and some wheat. Sweet, effervescent medium full body with flavors of banana, some caramel and citrus, and also some cloves and bitterness. The butterscotch is there too, but much more anonumous than in the aroma. Quite dry finish with banana, citrus and a little caramel. A quite nice beer, but with the unpleasant butterscotch aroma pulling the score down a bit. When approaching the bottom of the glass, the beer presents itselves better, preventing the score to drop further. Wouldn’t mind having more of it though. (080728)

50 cL bottle. Pours clear golden with diminishing white head. Malty with notes of grains and some acidity. Flavour is malty with a slight edge and with a bit of alcohol feel. Ends with a bitterness that gains in strength for each sip.
