Description
Horus Aged Ales is a 100% barrel aged brewery located in Oceanside, California. We believe in pushing the boundaries on how much beer can evolve through resting in oak by using a variety of different wine and spirit barrels, adding exotic fruits, and fermenting spontaneously. The complexity of the beer portrays our passion for experimentation and patience required to produce such a unique beverage. Horus has been a decade long dream that is finally coming true and we look forward to introducing our exclusive beer to the fine people of San Diego County.

9/10
Medium body, sweet and boozy. Finally a decent amount of barrel, dark chocolate, a touch of roast, rich and smooth. Balanced, especially for a Horus. Fantastic.

Intense, sweetish and slightly roasty with loads of velvety vanilla, barrel notes, syrup, toffee and oak. Soft and complex. Nice. ABV is super well hidden

LCI, Black Forest cake x German Chocolate Cake. Lots of barrel, coconut, chocolate, toasty, a touch of fruitiness. Big, sweet and strong.

Bottle shared by Johnny. Opaque jet black color, super dark brown colored head that diminishes almost instantly. Aroma and flavor are malts, dark malts, heavy booze, slight sweet hints, some coffee in the background a little more, before dark malt bitterness and some roasty bitters kick in. Definitely some alcohol burn in the finish. Oily texture, full body, medium carbonation. Wow, heavy, big one this.

Bottle shared at Johnny's turns 30 ad hoc beer celebration. Opaque black color, no head. Aroma is malts, vanilla heavily, light milk chocolate, coconut-fish? Flavor is malts, sweetness, vanilla, boozy a bit, malty bitter. Great kouthfeel, quite thick texture. Not bad.

Loads of banana, cinnamon and maple syrup but they are balancing each other nicely, surprisingly balanced. Some barrel, oak and sweetness too. Pretty nice pastry overdose. Surprisingly good
