Description
Horus Aged Ales is a 100% barrel aged brewery located in Oceanside, California. We believe in pushing the boundaries on how much beer can evolve through resting in oak by using a variety of different wine and spirit barrels, adding exotic fruits, and fermenting spontaneously. The complexity of the beer portrays our passion for experimentation and patience required to produce such a unique beverage. Horus has been a decade long dream that is finally coming true and we look forward to introducing our exclusive beer to the fine people of San Diego County.

Tap. Darkest brown color with tiny beige head. Aroma is cocoa, coffee, strawberries with cream, hazelnuts, sweet. Taste is sweet cream with berries again, very sweet, milk chocolate. A bit too much for me, although for 16.8% it's quite alright.

On tap at MBCC '19, yellow session. Hazy orange-reddish body, spotty lacing, filmy layer. Farmyard smell with yeasty fruitiness. Berry-fruit tartness to the flavours character. Ends dry, tart and mid-sweet. Cleanser, not a favourite. (Copenhagen 10.05.2019).

Cloudy orange brown pour with no head. No to inviting for many. But that do not mean a lot to others. A bit moderate aroma. Yeast, toffee and fruity. Quite acidic this one and a balanced sourness. Ok carbonation level. Herbal, toffee, citric, fruity, some oak and cherry are the most prominent flavors in my mouth. Ok complexity, but still not really a beer I would run for again. [On tap at Haand Festival -19 in Drammen, Norway] Brewery #2054

A hazy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of lemons funk, and straw. The flavor is sour with notes of malt, straw, and fruits, leading to a tart finish.
