Description
The beer of Val Dieu is synonymous of quality and authenticity. It is the only Belgian abbey beer to be 100% brewed in a living abbey such as the famous Belgian Trappist beers. The monks of the Abbey of Val Dieu are the ones who are at the origin of the beers which are brewed today on the site. Historically, the Cistercian monks were famous for their qualities as brewers. The monks of Val Dieu are in line with this reputation.

Schaum steht wie Eischnee. Boozy aber lecker, die kräftige, herbale Gin-Note.

My final Belgian region... No Beers of Europe were always sold out and then I thought to myself, Beautiful Beers? Aroma has sweet yet savoury porridge with citrus and yeast. Opaque-hazy orange-gold. Foamy translucent white head. Citrus to the fore. Underlying booze and yeast. Grainy. More citrus and spice. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Drinkable but not sessionable. Deep.

Hazy pale yellow, creamy white head. Nose is nice, malty and funky, lemon and candy and wheat chaff. Flavor has some candy and hige floral notes, lilacs and chrysanthemum. Mostly dry finish. Really easy to drink.
