Sampled from the tap at Northern Taphouse. Pours a cloudy earthy orange with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong citrus and some mango with a bit of guava and sweet grains supporting. Flavor has sweet grains and candied citrus with some tropical fruits backing.

Bottled. This has good smoke aroma and flavor. Alcohol is heavy and noticeable in the flavor and palate as well but definitely the best thing I have had from this brewery.

Sampled from the tap at ABR 2018. Pours a near clear orange with a golden hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of citrus and grains with a hint of tropical fruit underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and tropical fruits with a bright citrus.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of smoke with a mesquite punch and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has a strong smoke and mesquite note that lingers after the finish and a touch of sweet grains backing.

Tap at the brewery. 6.9 abv. Dark red color. It doesnt look like an ipa at all. Very smooth palate, i have to give it that. Dry and bitter, and even at this abv, the alcohol is there in the flavor and on the palate. Lots of malt, kind of a mess really. Nothing like an ipa.
