A yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also light malt notes. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of butter, leading to a dry hoppy bitter end.

An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is like youghurt, while the flavor has a sweet malty background on which are strong notes of youghurt. It was 7 days over the best before date - but I don’t believe that can account for the youghurt impression. I don’t like it.

Bottle (from Landbierparadies): Brownish-amber coloured, thin, but firm and stable "dirty" white head; clean, sweet malty aroma: caramel, roasted malt, a tinge of hops, too; malty flavour: slightly sweetish, distinctive caramelly, becoming dryer towards the finish; some bitterness in the aftertaste. A well made, clean Dunkel, not one-dimensional !

Bottle: Golden coloured, stable, dense creamy head; caramel and sweet malts in the nose with distinctive touch of floral hoppiness; creamy mouthfeel, bitter (hoppy flavour), light bodied; dry, a bit malty and hoppy-aromatic finish: Very well quaffable, very well made Franconian Pils.........

(bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a foamy and steady off-white head. Sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with caramel, slightly tart. Sweet malty taste, caramel, slightly sour, medium to light bodied, dry, hoppy and malty finish. This one has a distinctive tart aroma and taste, which is – pleasant or not – not more than decent.
