Draft at the Small House. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The nose is chocolate, maple, cloves, star anise, and bright espresso. Sweet and malty, with a nice, light, chalky bitterness. Medium to heavy body, creamy, and fluffy. Simple and clean, with a fantastic palate. Lovely!

Draft, from the Carneval booth in Funchal. Pours a clearish, orange color, with a fair, foamy, beige head. The nose is spruce, caramel, light mint, coriander, and resin. Sweet and malty, with a bracing, sticky bitterness. Medium body, crisp, and clean. Pretty nice.

Draft at the Carneval booth in Funchal. Pours a bright, orange color, with a fair, frothy, off-white head. The nose is grapefruit, dry white wine, straw, resin, and rye. Sweet and malty, with a sticky, sharp bitterness. Medium body, acidic, and sharp. Easy and tasty enough.

Draft at the Carneval booth in Funchal. Pours black, with a big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is light coffee, toffee, walnut, nutmeg, black pepper, and spruce. Not too sweet, malty, and quite bitter. Medium to heavy body, chewy, crisp, and sticky. Quality.
