Horrible smell of yeast, like a vulgar homebrew. Correct body strength, sweetish flavor,, not many notable characteristics, apart from a good share of yeast; low bitterness.

Draught @ GEIB, Grande Esposizione Italiane della Birra 2012, Nuova Fiera di Roma, via Portuense 1645, Rome, Italy 00100.Unclear matt medium amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, perfume, moderate yeasty, anis seed. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, anis seed, spicy, sweet yeast, sweet fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121215]

Bottle at home (Domus Birrae) - 07/10/12. Opaque murky brown with no head - does not look appealling! Sweet espresso coffee dominates the nose with a little background milk chocolate and malt. Taste follows nose a little nuttiness and again a sweet espresso flavour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation a little booze in the finish but a little on the thin side for 8%+. Drinkable but a bit disappointing overall.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and and fruits, leading to a dry finsih. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy orangey golden with an off-white head. Some perfumy spices and quite some phenols in the nose. Rich body, indistinct odd fruitiness, again heavy phenols. No hops. Rather messy. 200812

75 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is dry fruity and phenolic. Dry and phenolic. Bitter and slight herbal. Fruity, phenolic and dry herbal. Bitter, spiced and slight åhenolic finish.

Cloudy amber color; small head. Mediocre aroma, some yeast, earth and dust. Good body strength and smooth mouthfeel; but the flavor is off, nothing special, medium malt, with rare fruity traces, soil, light yeast; correct bitterness.
I just wish somebody would brew a good straight beer and stop throwing random things in.
