BAK サンピス Hoppy Lager 5% Clear gold with wispy eggshell white foam and a bright sweet tart fruity hop bouquet with hints of toe jam must. Light bodied and crisp with a nice bright hoppy flavor and crackery light malts. Good stuff.

BAK Bon You na Pon You Session Pale Ale Matte orange with wispy foam and a bitter fruity aroma which rinds me of old school APAs from years ago. Medium to light bodied with a dry finish. Bitter, herbal, fruity but a touch rough. Ok. @BAK Umekita

BAK Maybe Lager Hoppy Lager 6% Opaque straw gold with wispy eggshell white foam and a big fruity hop bouquet which to me says mosaic. Medium bodied with a dry earthy finish. After the enticing aroma, the taste is earthy, a bit sulfury with a very dry aggressive carbonic mouthfeel. The mosaic does come through in the aftertaste nicely which is a pretty strong finish. It grew on me.

BAK Fantastic Beer Grape Sour Ale 5.8% Deep purple verging on black with a thin purplish pink foam. Mild sour vinous aroma. Medium to full bodied with a mouth puckering sourness. Nice waxy sour grape flavor. Solid. @Bak Umekita

Bak Kopa Town Coconut Porter 3.9% BIG sweet coconut aroma (think mounds) on a matte brown body. Light bodied verging on watery but silky smooth. The taste is the same as the aroma sweet mouthwatering coconut with just the slightest hint of dark malts. I’m liking this quite a bit but it is a touch too light. I guess as it’s a summer beer… Tap at Bak Umekita

Bak Summer Ox Day ‘22 Kabayaki Amber 4.5% Murky Amber orange with a thin head of foam and a big zesty fresh citrus aroma. Medium bodied and fairly smooth. The taste very much matches the aroma with a big hit of bright citrus at first, then some brown sugar buns malt character. So citrusy.

Bak x One’s Brewery Yomoguiness Yomogi (mugwort) Irish Stout Deep cola black with ruby highlights a a whisper of a beige head of foam. Yomogi herbal/medicinal aroma evokes peppermint chocolates in the nose. Medium to full bodied and smooth with that Yomogi chocolate thing going full on. On its own it may be a bit much, pair it with something sweet. I happened to buy a yomogi bun so had that, it kept the medicinal but amped up the sweetness. Very interesting stuff but probably too medicinal for most.

Popped by Bak on my way back to the station - Dad joke, sorry. BAK Kappa Picnic Cucumber Kolsch Didn’t get this at CBL so trying it today. Lots of collaborations on tap at the moment. This matte gold brew has a fresh cucumber aroma with a touch of Britney aroma. The taste is soda bread and cucumber, very light very dry. It avoids the pickle trap of most cucumber beers so well done.
