Bottle at Hostinec U Kocoura Day 1 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 29/09/14. Aroma is sweet malts, nutty, worty, but not too offensive. Pale yellow coloured pour with a thin lasting white head. Flavour is crisp, slightly nutty pils grains, , sweet wort,, slight metalic in the finish. Palate is thin, chalky crisp and sweet. meh.

Canned 500 ml from corner shop in Prague. Pours yellow with white head. Malty and grainy. Light bodied. Boring lager.

500ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Bright amber coloured body. Low off-white head. Vague smell of brown malts. Mild taste of pale malts and wort like hints. Watered and rather empty (Tromsø 22.01.2015).

Half-litre bottle: BBD 2nd Mar 2015, brought home from Prague during a beery break with the wife. Poured three times into one of my old ’Schlossbrau’ stemmed tulip glasses on 26th Nov 2014. Clear golden body on each pour, un lasting white head. Malty lead to the aroma and taste, semi-sweet feel to the whole thing. Bog standard Pilsner/lager really, but a little sweeter than most of the other Czech based Pilsners. OK, but nothing to make it stand out from the crowd.

bottle from Kaufland Praha-Stodůlky. Deep golden colour, persistent white head. Promising hoppy nose, unexpectedly aromatic. Malty start, lots of aromatic hops tuning in at once. Very saaz-ey with some citrus fruit and resine, truning pleasantly bitter towards the lingering hoppy finish. I’d never expected a beer this good from this brewery. I usually don’t like Radegast beers very much, but this one proves, that big industrial breweries can brew really delicious beer - this is really, really good.

Finally tried this one (never having bothered to get it before), thanks Filip! Bottled, random gas station 100km from Prague. Glad I didn’t get it though, Pale golden body with a small white head. Meaty, grainy aroma. Empty taste, ending vaguely dry, salty and bitterish Some vague creamy graininess does show up. Eventually. Czechs can brew bad beers too, ya know. Luckily, there are far better ones.
