Fresh a little bit malty scent. Butterscotch dominating the taste. Medium to high bitterness. High CO2 level. 500 ml bottle at Restaurace U Zpevácku in Prague. Clear light yellow straw color, fairly big white creamy lasting head. Sweet scent, like a wort (unfermented beer). Small body, malty flavor, medium bitterness. Refreshing but lacks a bit in body and taste. Even still, pretty good for a non-alcohol beer when inbetween "real" beers in Prague.

Okay enough of the preliminaries. This opens with a big Czech hop smell, somewhat oxidized. Lots of unfiltered bits swirling around. Thin, somewhat chunky head. Lightly toasty malts, but they’re matched by the adjunct of imported lager. Hops mostly make bitterness instead of adding to the flavor. Also kind of watery.

Medium white head over light copper body. Light, grainy, hoppy aroma with notes of metal. Light taste of grain and butter, with a bitter, metallic aftertaste. Well. Didn’t really enjoy this one much.

(Bottle 33 cl) One of rather few Czech porters. More dark brown than really black with a rich, dense head. Deliciously malty and somewhat caramel-like flavours and pronounced roasted notes. Licorice-like dryness in the palate. A very solid porter. Beautiful holografic label.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pale golden with a nice, fluffy head that leaves laces, when it collapses. Has the odd sweetish feel as with some NA beer (others have more cardboard- or metal-flavour!). Very quenching and not bad at all for a NA. I believe it’s a licensed brew of the Swiss Birrell.
