Shaker pint draft at The Pine Box in Seattle, Washington. This is my 1,000th unique brewery rating. The pour is a hazed yellow golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is floral resin, herbal hops are super bright and juicy. The taste is all about the floral herbal hops with a hint of cracker cereal grain malt towards the back. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a natural dry softly bitter finish. Nice one.

Draft pour pint at Flatstick Pub, while I wait for someone. Since Cloudburst gives themselves a day off on Monday and Tuesday, I have to do homework from time to time to keep up with the new brews. Just keep getting better and better. I actually crushed this one and ordered another to complete a proper rate. Proper rate, I hardly knew I was capable. Very cloudy, creamy appearance with a thin, active film head. Dominant hop character than leans to the fruity side. Flavor has a consistency that plays like a pineapple juice. Tropical, citrus fruit combo, with a gentle hop bitter. Mango but not sweet. Banana but not Belgian. Hop storm but not too bitter. Wheat, but just barely. A dry hopped pale with a ton of character. Peak refreshment as well. If this beer is going to be around until Bill shows up, then Bill can piss off. Damn good beer.

Draft 10 oz pour at Cloudburst. One thing I felt about this series, is that they all had more similarities than differences. The base seemed to take over every time. Not the case here. Pours a milky pinkish color with a slow fade head. Looks like a nitro pour. Mixed berry and grainy aroma. Flavor is a nice, creamy, slightly tart mixed berry, with a clear juniper presence. Grainy and floral finish with a late tart reminder. Very fun rendition of the series. Good beer.

The way they describe this beer at Cloudburst, there is no way it isn’t the greatest IPA ever brewed. If I’m deciding on a beer, and this one is described like a syrup sandwich, and the sweet milk of Mother Mary, than I feel like I’ve found the end game for IPAs. It’s incredible to me that they have been open less than a year, and they have probably added about 30 IPAs to this world. I swear they are slowly getting better and better, not that they were ever bad to begin with. I try a beer like this one, and see nothing but success in their future. Brilliant ideas, paired with an obvious true passion for the art. Hazy golden orange pour with a cream foam head. Incredible fresh hops aroma. A juicy, mango like constant, with a fruit sweetness that battles the bitterness. Such a good beer here. One of those knocking on the door of imperial type IPA’s, that I can drink all day. Everything is great about this beer.

Draft 10 oz pour at Cloudburst. Listed at 9.2%, 75 IBU. Pours lighter in color and more clear than probably all of their beers. I love trying these experimental hop beers. It seems like there is now an infinite combination of hops available, and they are getting more and more interesting. This is a big time IPA with a light feel to it. Cool and refreshing is my first thought, before the heavy abv bill. Very crushable imperial. A subtle fruitiness in there, and a late hint that it’s strong. Very well made imperial here. I don’t know how they did it. Awesome.

Draft pour pint at Cloudburst. Oily golden pour with a thin fizz head. Dank grassy hop initial aroma. Flavor is more on the fruity side. Some orange slice, amd maybe mango. Juicy hop dominant finish. I nice mellow IPA to add to their catalog. If it’s anything like the song, I think I’m obligated to try it over and over and over, and tell everyone about it over and over until everyone is sick of it. Since I’m not going to do that, I’m just going to enjoy it for now, and in moderation, and say it’s good. Because it is.

Draft 10 oz pour at Cloudburst. Pours a dark copper brown with a patcy fizz head. Love the variations of the beers that they do, and the different unique qualities in each. Huge coffee centered aroma. A ton in the flavor throughout as well. Nutty and toasty. Hints of bourbon, paired with a subtle sweetness. Both just the right amount. I think I like this one just a bit better than the base. Excellent compliment to their typical beer lineup. Excellent.

Draft pour pint at Cloudburst. These guys never fail to surprise/amaze me. Cloudy golden orange pour with a thin fizz head. Fresh orange slices on the aroma. Very fun blend of styles here. A ton of orange fruit from the pale, with a good hint of spice from the saison, drowned by a ton of lemon and peach like quality. Long cool fruit finish. Never had a beer like this before. Good, yes. Great.. depends on the day. Nevertheless, very fun try here.

Draft pour pint at Cloudburst. Listed at 5.6%, 30 ibu. Pours a near black with a fading tan head. Chocolate heavy aroma. Flavor is a nice roasted malt, with sweet vanilla notes. Cool malty finish. It’s nice to see a stout from these guys. A dark beer for some of us that want to enjoy more than one. Easy drinking sweet stout here. Solid.

Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours a thick, cloudy pale golden color with an oily head. Lots of hop variety. Huge grapefruit aroma from a distance away. Fresh citrus fruit forward flavor, with a long, drawn out hop bitterness to follow. Cool, dry and bitter finish. A ton of good things going on with this one. Good addition to what is already my favorite lineup of IPA’s.
