Description
In 1852 Ludwig Bauhöfer founded the brewery. He knew that the people in the region particularly appreciate quality and regional specialities when it comes to eating and drinking, and his beer soon became so popular that the small family business developed into one a modern brewery after only a few years.
Today we can look back on a long brewing tradition that has grown over generations. The popularity of Ulmer beers has not changed to this day and the specialties of the family brewery make new friends every day.

Level 42 bottleshare, Santa is flying past below! Thanks to Fergus. Light haze on this paleish gold beer, patchy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, some light German nuttyness - well integrated. Mild sweet floralness. Trace of paper. Very mild generic fruits before a dry and mildly spicy finish. Some rewards here, but you have to dig for them.
