The beer starts smooth and fresh. Not too deep with a thin and a bit dry grainy body. The Sherry is round and smooth, intense and fresh. But for the nice and smooth woody Sherry, the beer is too thin and neutral. Sad.

Ardbeg is one of my favourite Whisky-distilleries - but this beer is a disgrace to that Whisky. We have on the one side a fresh peaty woody whisky - and on the other side a grainy, slightly sweetish thin-bodied beer. The thin and simple caramel grainy body can’t stand up to the intense woody and peaty beer. A complete tilt, that can’t create a nice and enjoyable feeling. The aftertaste has nice ideas of caramel and malt, that would have been great on the beer-side, but the grain and the neutral bitterness destroy the picture of a nice harmony with the well-crafted whisky. Sad.

Sweetish malty beginning. Not very deep - the beer doesn’t fit to the picture. The Brady barrel is there, but as the ground-beer is not proper, the brandy-barrel can’t develop its complete depth or aroma. The aftertaste is nice woody brandy, but the beer which should deliver a great or surrounding body fails. Sad.

Neutral smooth beginning with malty hints. Round and fresh with woody hints. Smooth and a bit neutral. The Whisky is nice with the wood, but the ground-beer is bad and doesn’t fit to the picture. Sad stuff - the Whisky and the wood would have fit to a real and great brew!
