[2/3/16] Draught at Triple Rock in Berkeley. Hazy yellow. Aroma is yeasty, spicy, citric. Dry flavor, yeasty, with citric fruitiness, some spiciness, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

On tap at the brewery. Black / dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting dirty tan head. Aroma is toasted barley, fruity berry, grape, grainy, toasted. Flavour is bitter dirty roast, light soy, some berry fruits, roasted barley. Palate is medium light bodied, slightly thin, gassy, grainy. Lingering black forest gateau.

On tap at the brewery. Mostly clear reddy copper coloured pour with a lasting thin greyish cream coloured head. Aroma is roasted coffee, toasted brown bread, nice rounded toasted grains. Hint of powdered choc on the nose. Flavour is composed of grainy, toasted brown bread, stale coffee, bitter roast , light strawberry jam. Palate is semi sweet, grain tannin, moderate to high carbonation. Decent.

On tap at the brewery. Mostly clear golden / light orange coloured pour with a lasting thin greyish head. Aroma is fairly nice floral lemon, pollen, spicy hop, pale grains. Flavour is composed of pale malts, grain husks, dry finish. Hops are lemony floral and slightly rough bitterness. Palate is medium light, powdery, high carbonation,

On tap at the brewery. Hazed golden / yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin greyish head. Aroma is strawberry, jammy fruits, eater, Neapolitan ice cream, semi sweet grains. Flavour is harsh grains, husks, bitter hop pine, harsh alcohol bite in the finish. Spicy pi e needle and ,woody finish. Palate is medium bodied, grainy, very highly carbonated.

On tap at the brewery. Clear golden / light orange coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Aroma is subdued, pale grains. Light pine hop. Flavour is composed of very dry light grains, faint pine, some carbonic acid,. Palate is light. Some sweetness, highly carbonated. Drying carbonic acid bite in the finish. Lacks flavour.

On tap at the brewery. Black black coloured pour with a dark tan coloured head. Aroma is dark choc, roast, jammy fruits, dried plum. Flavour is composed of milky roasted grains. Some lactose sugars, burnt milk. Palate is semi sweet. Slightly creamy. Lingering burnt toffee. Gassy.

On tap at the brewery. Amber / copper coloured pour with a lasting creamy head. Aroma is nice fruity hops, lemon rind with tropical fruit notes., passion fruit. Good bright hop on the nose. Flavour is composed of nutty toasted grains, pine and orange rind hop, some alcohol, some jammy notes. Palate is medium bodied, semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Decent brown ale.

On tap at the brewery. Clear pale golden coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fresh spicy zesty citrus rind, nelson sauvin, midget gems, slight honey. Flavour is composed of light grains, tropical lemon citrus hop, zesty lemon. Aggressive relatively clean bitterness. Little but of burnt tarmac Nelson sauvin. OK double IPA.

On tap at Hog’s Apothecary. It pours a clear pale gold with a white head. The aroma is great with floral and fruity notes. Grape and watermelon. Lightly toasted malts. The flavor is the same. Watermelon, white grape and hints of florals and pale malts. Low to medium bitterness. Really good stuff.
